PHILLIPS ISLAND NATURE PARKS AUSTRALIA


Phillips Island Nature Parks is 90 minutes from Melbourne City. The Island is the good example of the landscape conservation practices. People can experiences spectacular natural environment like the coastal landscape scenery and fantastic wildlife island adventure such as Little Penguins, Gulls and Seals.
Conservation concept was applied strictly in the area in order to control and manage the fragile and sensitive land but at the same time it is the most popular tourist attractions. The nature park especially The Nobbies Centre is operating during the day and it is closed to visitors during night this is due to protect the wildlife from human intervention.


The Nobbies Centre is the informative centre, it provide the information about the ecological aspect of wildlife of the area. It is useful for the visitor to understand the nature and the ecological background of the parks and it inhabits. The centre provide facilities such as souvenirs shops, ticket centre for penguin parade, café and interactive wildlife museum. The centre also has range of activities such as research activities and outdoor educations.

Visitors can experiences the spectacular scenery towards rocky island where thousands of Gulls and of Seals occupy as it habitat. Visitors can walk through down the terrain on the board walk provided and designed purposely for people to experience the fantastic nature. Here we can experience interesting coastal vegetations and flowers, fantastic outcrops and beaches formation such as caves and others.



The second centre at Phillips Island Nature Parks is the Penguin Parade Centre, it also provide informative information about the Penguin ecology. Little Penguin is the smallest Penguins in the world and the habitat was conserve with excellent managements. Board walk are provided for people to experience closer to the habitat and control peoples movement around the site. At the beach the Penguins will come back and parade to thier nest during the sunset. The centre provide the platform and small amphitheatre for viewing the Penguins. People are strictly not to take photos of the Penguins and making noise. The number of visitors also are limited in order to control the carrying capacities of the sensitive area. Penguin parade is the most spectacular experience you can have here in Phillips Island.
